Holsworthy Walk & Talk invite you to join us for our regular social walks.

Every Monday there is a walk in Stanhope Park, Holsworthy.  A gentle walk for those with limited mobility to start the week, finishing with light refreshments.

Every Friday the routes are a little more challenging around the Holsworthy district, including the Bradford & Cookbury area:

  • 22nd April Stratton
  • 29th April Halwill Junction
  • 6th May Highampton
  • 13th May Pyworthy
  • 20th May Sheepwash
  • 27th May Roadford

All the walks start at 10.30am.

An after school club is run by a group of volunteers from within the village, also some parents from the school who run a ‘Cooking & Gardening Club’ all year round.

The 18th April is our next gardening club after the Easter Holidays, when the children are hoping to plant salad leaves, carrots, radish, potatoes, onions, spring onions, leeks, sweet peas, sun flowers, tomatoes etc..

Our gardening area is very small, but before we can start this year’s planting we require some garden compost, bags of compost and also a variety (but, small amount) of seeds or plants. It may be that you have finished your own planting, and have a few seeds left in a packet, or surplus seedlings/plants.
